Book “The 112 meditation techniques of Vigyan Bhairava Tantra”

Just do it!

The Vigyan Bhairava Tantra is not an ordinary spiritual text. It is not a philosophy for studying, no theory for understanding, no doctrine for faith. It is a practical guide to the direct experience of the ultimate reality.

More than a thousand years ago, in the mountains of Kashmir, this extraordinary dialogue was written between Shiva and his beloved Shakti (also called Devi or Bhairavi). Devi asks the eternal question that burns in every human heart: what is reality? What is my true nature? How can I learn the Divine?”

Shiva’s answer is remarkable. He doesn’t give an answer but 112. Not a method, but a whole universe of possibilities. Why? Because everyone is unique. What works for one might not work for another. What suits you today may not fit tomorrow.

What is Vigyan Bhairava Tantra?

The name itself is meaningful:

  • Vigyan means “consciousness”, “knowledge”, “direct knowledge” – not intellectual knowledge, but direct experience.
  • Bhairava is a name for Shiva in its transcendent form – the pure, fearless consciousness that is all underlying.
  • Tantra means ‘technology’, ‘method’, ‘webs’, a system of practical methods for expanding consciousness.

“The techniques for the direct experience of transcendental consciousness.”

Who is this book for?

This book is for you when:

  • Looking for practical, tried meditation techniques, not just for theory
  • You are open to different ways and do not want to be bound to a single method
  • You are ready to experiment yourself and find your own truth
  • You value the beauty and wisdom of ancient spiritual traditions
  • Looking for transformation, not just for information
  • You don’t have to be a Buddhist, Hindu or Yogi. You don’t have to believe in certain gods. These techniques are universal – they work with the structure of human consciousness itself.

The diversity of techniques

The 112 techniques cover an amazing spectrum:

  • Breathing techniques – work with the most natural rhythm of life
  • Body practices – from gentle postures to intense movements
  • Visualizations – Internal images as gates to transcendence
  • Sound and Mantra – The Power of Vibration
  • Sense retreat – Going inside when the world becomes too loud
  • everyday practices – food, music, joy as spiritual ways
  • Philosophical Contemplations – Deep Questions about the Nature of Reality
  • Energy Work – Working with Kundalini and the Chakras
  • Liminal states – Using the thresholds between guards and sleep

Some techniques are simple enough for absolute beginners. Others are so advanced that they require years of preparation. Some just take seconds. Others are lifelong practices.
